PRIMUS AND SIDE PROJECT LIVE PERFORMANCE INFORMATION SITE
The goal of this document is to provide fans of Primus and Les Claypool with information on what material his various bands have played over the years, how the songs have been modified live, and on what tours given songs have been performed. While the song list is based upon careful listening to a lot of shows, comments made about particular songs, despite efforts at objectivity, will in the end reflect only the opinions of the authors. While a full categorization of all Primus tour dates and set lists will probably never be fully complete (particularly in reference to the early years: 1986-91), we hope this link will help fans and traders in their search for great shows and Primus trivia.
The inspiration for this page has included Ram Samudrala's Cheesy Home Page, and the work of Phish, Frank Zappa and other jam bands and their fans, who have established very complete and informative web sites documenting the live performances of these artists.
Ideally, the Primus or Les Claypool fan will be able to use the two main components of this web site as companion pieces (other miscellaneous sections include ticket stubs, concert and Claypool related landmark photos, and a list of bootlegs for trading):
1) Setlist Database - can be browsed by song or show venue. We now have a beta version of a stats section. Pat has also been busy uploading FULL sets for one's listening pleasure, with over 500 Primus and Claypool shows available online. This section is maintained by Pat Moughan.
2) Information Site - A content heavy page with descriptions of specific songs, tours, instruments, and reviews of selected classic and historical performances. This section is maintained by Natan Khishchenko.
If you are in possession of a tape/CD/DVD or know a set list that is not yet posted on our web page, have any additional information or wish to voice an opinion about this page, please write to us. Or better yet, contact Patrick and trade with him. The gift of music should be shared between fans, not hoarded for oneself. While we do not endorse commercial exploitation and the selling of bootleg tapes and CDs, we are in favor of equal trading between fans.
